MFA 2020

The aim of the degree programme in Fine Arts is to develop an independent artistic identity. The courses should qualify students to implement their own artistic ideas, assess the quality of their own work, place them in a theoretically relevant context and present them appropriately.

The practical, theoretical and artistic-creative skills fundamental to the bachelor’s degree are refined, expanded and questioned more intensively in the master’s degree.

In projects outside the university, the design approach is placed in more concrete terms with regard to possible forms of representation. The courses should enable students to formulate their own positions and reactions. In addition to the technical courses and training, students are familiarised with the commercial system of »art«, also in regard to its social relevance.
